ASU Karsten Scores High at AZ BBQ Festival

On April 20, the ASU Karsten Trophy Room Food and Beverage team participated in the 4th annual Arizona BBQ Festival at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, AZ.

Chef Andrew and his culinary team not only prepared thousands of beef brisket sliders with house made potato salad for the general public, but were also fortunate enough to be one of few valley restaurants invited to serve its culinary creations in the VIP Tent. Chef Andrew put together an amazing Duck Confit Taco that was praised by VIP guests as the best thing at the festival!

Food & Beverage Director Joe Martin and the front-of-house team also hosted a putting competition in the VIP Tent where festival goers had a chance to win a complimentary foursome of golf at ASU Karsten by putting a hole-in-one with a 6-foot tall golf club…all the while wearing the biggest golf hat ever! The putting competition was a huge hit, and the team was surprised by how many participants made the shot to win free golf!
