ASU Men’s Golf Rocks ASU Karsten
The ASU Sun Devils Men’s Golf Team finished the 42nd annual ASU Thunderbird Invitational, held March 21-23 at the 7,013 yard ASU Karsten Golf Course, a full 20-shots clear of the second-place team in this 14-team event. Completing the three days at 35 under par, the Sun Devils dominated from start to finish. Sun Devil sophomore Jon Rahm posted scores of 62-64-66, for a 21-under 192. Jon’s 54-hole total was tops in school history, and the lowest aggregate score in Thunderbird Invitational history as well.
According to ASU Karsten’s Daryl Crawford, “The Team had a fantastic week of golf led by their super-sophomore Jon Rahm. Anytime you win it’s great…it’s even more satisfying when it’s a home victory!” The ASU Men’s golf team practices and plays out of the ASU Karsten Golf Course.
Everyone at ASU Karsten congratulates Coach Tim Mickelson and his team for a performance that will remain in the record books for many years to come. Full tournament details can be found on TheSunDevils.com and on GolfWeek.com.
